Holy Land Tour
The Holy Land Tour provides visitors of all ages with the unique opportunity to experience the people, culture, and history of the ancient Middle East. The tour can be taken at your leisure. On this approximately 3-hour interactive Biblical teaching tour, you will explore the ancient Middle-Eastern culture in which Jesus was raised and will meet characters from the time of Moses to the time of Christ. During the tour, you will have opportunity to speak with a “Levitical Priest” in the full-scale replica of Moses’ Tabernacle in the Wilderness, visit a replica of a first century Inn typical of the type where Mary and Joseph may have asked for shelter, visit a first century stable typical of where Jesus was born, walk beside the “Sea of Galilee” with Simon Peter as he speaks of his last days with Jesus, and visit the upper room where Jesus and his disciples feasted for the Last Supper.
The Holy Land Tour is performed on the same days as performances of The Great Passion Play from 12:00pm until the last tour at 4:00pm, or you can also tour the Holy Land throughout the year on every day but Sunday with a specialized guided tour. Advanced reservations are required for non-Play day tours. See website for details.
In-Depth Tabernacle Tour
Please note that the In-Depth Tabernacle Tour is only available on days of performances of the Play.
Section of the Berlin Wall
An original ten-foot by ten-foot section of the Berlin Wall was erected next to the Church in the Grove. These words from the 23rd Psalm are painted in German on the wall, “Though I walk through the dark valley, I will not fear.” When the wall came down, The Great Passion Play acquired this piece as a tribute to the spirit of all people who risk their lives to believe and practice their Christian faith.
The Bible Museum at The Great Passion Play
is made up of more than 6,000 Bibles
in 625 languages as well as 3,000 artifacts.
