You might come to Montreat College for the spectacular natural setting or for our tight-knit community. Maybe you’ve been recruited to play on one of our 17 varsity athletics teams or you’ve heard about our bi-annual Calling & Career symposium. Some students come to Montreat specifically for our Honors Program or because they want small class sizes and professors who care enough to stay in contact over time. These are all good reasons. But the best reason to come to Montreat is our Christ-centered, liberal arts education, one which emphasizes intellectual inquiry, spiritual formation, and preparation for calling and career.
Montreat College fosters an interdisciplinary learning environment that helps form the whole person. In addition to helping you acquire the essential knowledge and experience you’ll need for your future career, we also teach you how to read and think deeply and critically, how to write persuasively, how to work together well on a team. These are the kinds of tools that employers are looking for, and they’ll help help give you the ability to adapt and make sense of the changing world you’ll encounter upon graduation.

That’s why we’ve expanded our programs over three locations. To meet the needs of our adult students—people like you—close to where you already live and work.
